Return to School and Our Blog

It is with great pleasure that we share with you our first blog post of this new school year! The purpose of this blog is to provide you with information about the learning opportunities available for all children at Woodside School. We will be chronicling our experiences with photos and weekly posts updating you on what is happening in our classrooms. We also plan to share information on timely parenting topics, Woodside community events and early childhood education.

During the month of September our focus has been on establishing routines, understanding safety rules and allowing families and children to become accustomed to new expectations. We began the month with shortened days and smaller groups to help families with this time of transition. As we develop relationships with the children they begin the process of transferring their trust from their families to their teachers. Children are learning how to interact in a larger group and what it means to be part of a classroom community. More detailed information regarding curriculum is always available and posted on the classroom bulletin boards.

We are looking forward to an exciting year together!
